Ive always wondered if some folks are genetically wired to not liking hops then. Sort of like the cilantro tastes like soap to some, but not to others. I have a friend, he will try all beers, but it literally all tastes the same to him and he dont like it. |

The Romans used to drink posca, which while we don't have an actual recipe, we do know it was made from wine vinegar, water, honey, probably cilantro and possibly other herbs. I came up with my own version, I don't claim it to be authentic, but it is refreshing. Some people like it, but a few found it repulsive. Ancient accounts seem to back this up. |

IPA's rock. This is my current fave;
Attached File I just finished brewing a pale ale, and a tropical IPA is next on the brew schedule. For the record, banana and bubble gum flavors do not belong in beer. |

Well I feel like catching a different kinda buzz tonight , so I'm gonna get some extra skunky IPA. Yeah, I sure prefer a good hefeweizen, but man, those over the top hops lend a whole different dimension to my buzz, personally.

I've had a lot of IPA's, including many already mentioned, but this is the best one hands down.

My humble IPA review, from one that rarely drinks it:
Honest to God, that "Lucy Juicy" Double IPA from Solace Brewing got me way more intoxicated than sipping JD SB neat does. Maybe I have an allergic reaction to hops - I dunno - but good Lord that stuff is POWERFUL. My wife was tickled pink though, telling me stories of our supposed movie night last night. I am blessed to be a happy drunk, and apparently she enjoyed it more than I did. |
