When I was a kid, and that was a long time ago, most my age who loved cars could identify the make, model, and year of most car going down the street from 50 yards away.
Cars...they had their own look. When the mfg's updated it was cool to go look...because cars looked different from one another. Crazy, right? Now, just about everything out there that isn't a "throwback" to something from a couple decades (or more) back looks the same. They look like they were all squeezed from the same tube of nearly empty toothpaste. Boring as heck. I know the .gov and insurance industry is responsible for most of this. Boring cars are...boring. |

While I hate the gigantic front ends on newer trucks that feel like somebody stretched them in the Y axis, I much prefer modern vehicle styling over most older vehicle designs/styling.

My wife is considering one versus the new GX. They’re two different animals. I’m sure you understand that, but in terms of size, the Sequoia is going to be a lot larger. That said, the Sequoia’s engine and transmission is amazing compared to the 5.7 and the GX’s outgoing 4.6 (I traded a 2021 GX for the Sequoia). One complaint that I’ve heard is the (harsh) ride in the Capstone. Another is the lack of a 3rd row seat that folds into the floor. So, if you have a need to carry strollers, the GX may be a better fit. The 3rd row seats aren’t [easily] removable, so you’re kind of stuck with the configuration unless you invest some time to remove the seats and add an elevated floor over the battery. I haven’t had any issues, but only have 700 miles. I do have one “squeak” on the drivers seat, which seems to be a “thing” with the Tundra and Sequoia. It looks like an easy fix, which I’ll request at my first oil change. I really don’t have any negatives about the vehicle from the first month of ownership. The hybrid system is good, steering and power are fantastic and the new dash layout is great. I bounce from car-to-car fairly often, but this might be the one to “stick”; it’s just that good IMO. Feel free to hit me up if you have anything specific; there’s a few of us on here with Gen 3 Sequoia’s. |

Peak GM pickup styling was the 73-87 square body, the 81-87 years in particular. Followed closely by the 67-72 years.

GMT-400, How I still love you my daily steed! Although the model that I currently roll has crank windows and non-functioning A/C , she's as steadfast as any Asian commuter of the day. Being over built as C3500 and underpowered with a Vortec 350 kinda canceled things out.
