I thought Texas just didn't want to deal with them--isn't this a good thing?
They're coming in anyway, this just gets them out of Texas faster. (And anybody who thinks they should be stopped at the border obviously doesn't know asylum law. You know, that thing Republican senators were trying to fix until Trump killed it. )Oh, and somebody ought to fix the title--nobody is "bypassing the border", it's right there in the OP. |

Sooo...as an ATC I'm always vigilant about non-standard charter flights into my airport. It's always weird when a B737 or A320 on some random charter callsign lands in the middle of the night. If they park at the FBO it's hard to see who deplanes. Sometimes, when the aircraft is larger they have to park on the terminal ramp, but they don't use the jetbrige to deplane to the airport; instead the use the stairs from plane and go straight to big tour buses with a fucking city/county/state escort of police. This usually happens late at night and it's hard too see the people coming off the plane to the buses, but they all seem similar and carry the same bag, as if some organization provided the same "care kit" to each person on that aircraft.

Yup. Watched it happen during Obama. The had a dozen or so 15 passenger vans with blacked out windows lined up waiting for the plane to taxi in. This was way away from the main terminal.
