I believe she advocated killing all muslims... after repeated warnings that such postings would not be tolerated.  If you intentionally thumb your nose at policy you are going to pay a price.  The Avilas are more than flexible on most issues.  I've seen people who deserved banning for life be allowed back after a cooling off period.  Sometimes they reoffended and were tossed for good, other times, lesson learned and they have been great assets.  Hell, Ed Sr. created the pit as a place to take disputes and also to allow people to work out their aggressions and animosities before more serious action like banning was required.

Takes a lot to get banned around here... usually a slow build up of offenses... or going nuclear with a severe infraction.  The members might think being a mod or a staff member is a power-trip... more like a migraine.  We do it because we love the Avilas and are looking to help carry the burden of providing such a huge resource for all of us.

I don't know, I've never had a troll account and have been here for five years... way back before the board was overhauled and we all started over with zero posts... I have around 5,000-6,000 posts at the time of the revamp.  Never felt the need for a troll account... and I think most troll accounts are owned by RBAD...

Yes and no...  Yes, you aren't owed an explanation and no... mods can't lock an account, only staff can.  This isn't a democracy...  there is no RIGHT to free speech here.  And as a private board, staff are free to lock accounts within the context of the CoC as they see fit.  And for the record, mods and staff are bound by the same rules.  If I advocated genocide, my account would be subject to a lock as well.  It really isn't that difficult, play by the rules or don't play.
