Has anyone read this book by James Bovard? If so, what do you think of it? I'm almost finished with it and find it rather disturbing. I'm going to read his other book "Lost Rights" next. |

Another good author is Thomas Sowell. Check out: "Vision of the Annointed: Self-Congratulation As Basis for Social Policy." Good book about how the liberal mind works. Also PJ O'Rourke is usually a funny but good read. Check out his "All the Trouble in the World". Very funny book about how most of the worlds problems are usually caused by govt. rather than solved by it. BTW, I think Harry Browne's "How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World" is back in print. I read this book about ten years ago and it really helps put things in perspective. |
