"Purely Hypothetical Question" O.K. This is for you Handgun Gurus... Say you were to travel to a fairly rough country, like Colombia (which has a nasty reputation for gringo kidnappings) and you were going to establish a residence there, what kind of handgun could be brought in via normal routes(airlines) inconspicuously(in pieces... over 2 or 3 trips) ?? Again this is purely hypothetical...and no I am not going to Colombia. SST7 |
And from what I've heard of some places you don't need that much (American) money. $75 full-auto AK's, $10 grenades. RPG's might run a little more. Think ahead, smuggle cash not illegal detectable items. |
You're welcome! ![]() Stick around for a while. You'll start thinking outside the box, and then outside that box, and then the next until you're playing with action figures like SGTar15. I've not slipped that far yet. Probably only because I can't afford the action figures. |

Why even sneak it in? I know Mexico sucks for firearms but some of those SA countries might not be so tough to legally import a firearm. Non military caliber might matter. Think 6.8 AR15 or .40 cal Glock or screw it and just buy it off the black market like everybody else said |

We shouldn't be training possible Terrorists here. What the fxxx kind of question was that?

Either a or a .Sounded more newbie like to me... ::shrugging:: |
Roger that. Its like saying, "Hypothetically, how can I plan for and get away with a murder?" |
Illegally smuggling weapons into a foreign country is not unlike breaking other severe laws? I'll stand up like our heroes at the Alamo for protection of American rights - but foreign entities have their own standards. In my true American spirit, I leave them the freedom of choice on how to run their own countries. If that counrty is tyrannical - let the citizens rebel - hey, we did it here. If one offers the retort of, "How can they rebel w/o firearms?" I say that they allowed themselves to reach that position - its their own undoing. |
Exactly as the title suggested - a hypothetical question. |

Roger that. Its like saying, "Hypothetically, how can I plan for and get away with a murder?"Look I am no - I asked a simple question...If that is out of line then Staff please "Lock and Delete"As far as terrorism goes I have already been to the sandbox and if called up I SST7 Edited for clarity |

Huh? I told the fellow to buy once he got there! I'm not advocating breaking any country's laws!
That's quite nice. So, do you think Generalissimo Santa Anna was correct in attempting to smash the Texans because they were importing arms from the United States for the purpose of protecting themselves from Indian raids and the like, and from a brutal dictatorship in Mexico City! Remember the 'Twin Sisters'? Two cannon that were a gift to the people of Texas from the Citizens of Cincinnati, Ohio? They got here just in time for the Battle of San Jacinto!
