I walked into the living room and the kid is watching the Disney channel, when this commercial comes on for Cadet Kelly and it says "No real guns were used during the making of this movie"
WTF, has Disney always been this anti?

For a while.  Almost as gay as going nack and removing all the guns from E.T.

I understand they’ve also removed the old S&W M&P’s that they used to use to shoot the charging hippopotamus with in the jungle cruise (or whatever it was called).

I have to admit that shooting a hippopotamus with a .38 Special never made a lot of sense to me anyway, but it was a nice bit of Americana.

They have.  And the even stupider thing is: they haven't changed the canned script that the "tour guides" have to say.  Now, everyone just looks around trying to figure out what was supposed to happen.

They also got rid of the cap gun "muzzle loaders" that they used to sell in Frontier Land.

I can not tell you how many hundreds (probably several thousand ) rounds of .22 shorts I fired at Disneyland back in the 60's at the shooting range at Frontier Land.

How many of you remember shooting the 22's there?

Now it is some kind of total bullshit lazer beam thing.
