Will the Grilled Chicken Margherita look like this and taste great?

Olive Garden is the McDonald's of Italian food. There are a lot better places to eat.
Imagine that meal prepared in a microwave. That’s your answer.
Everything comes from a bag and is microwaved. Just buy food at the grocery store

Are you a 17 year old with a summer job taking your girl out for dinner for the first time?

The Olive Garden here in VA rocks. I dont know what you're all talking about; the drinks are awesome, the bread is good and food is good.

"Dat Eyetalian food is some of dah best in the county." Eat some real fucking Italian food.
Surely most everyone has a real mom & pop Italian restaurant in driving distance these days.
Olive Garden used to be decent. I had many meals there that I thought were good. This was a long time ago.
Now, it is most decidedly un-good. A couple of shitty meals were enough to clue me in that something had changed and I will never be back. If you go there, whatever you order will come out of a microwaved bag, and it will look more like a pile of dog vomit than OP's picture. |

Ah, the food snobs of GD have arrived!
Imagine, bragging about being such a sensitive sally. If you can’t find one single meal at OG to enjoy, then I’d say you are nothing better than a weak, spoiled child who didn’t get their way. |
Did I make it in before the tender tummy's start bragging about getting the shits for 3 days after eating a bowl of spaghetti?
Denny's with tomato sauce.
Pass. Plenty of good, real Italian mom and pop restaurants in my area to eat at OG. |
American Olive Garden is better than the food in Naples or Rome. Trieste was really good though.
OG is fine. The food is from a bag, it is microwaved, who gives a shit, it tastes fine.
I took out my two business partners for dinner at Author J's in Manhattan Beach on Tuesday, it was $515 with tip. And the following day I had Del Taco for lunch. Food snobs that can't get past themselves... |
Is anything up to GD standards? I go to OG a couple times a year and think its marvelous for the price. KC has some really good Italian places, like Cascone's, but it's on the expensive side.

It's not about being a "weak spoiled child who didn't get their way". It's about thinking that the food at OG is not very good and preferring to spend roughly an equal amount of money on food that is better, elsewhere. It's not "bragging" to say this. It's just saying "this is my opinion". If you don't share that opinion that is fine, but to call somebody weak and spoiled who prefers not to eat at a given restaurant is just a really weird flex, frankly. If my mom called, and said "hey I'll take you to dinner, my treat" and she took us to OG, I would eat it, it would probably taste OK, and I would tell her it was delicious whether it was or not. However, MY hard earned money is going to be better spent elsewhere. |

There are two rules here in GD,
#1 - Never answer on the first page. #2 - Shit on the choices of others to prove your superiority. |

Honestly that picture doesn't even look great. They could have thrown it under a broiler for a little bit to give the cheese and tomatoes and broccoli some color. And then drizzled some pesto sauce, not drowned it in pesto.
LOL
No. The chicken will be tough, the broccoli will be overcooked. |
Not only is the "food" at Olive Garden disgusting it has the added benefit of being expensive.
No thanks. |
