Okay, you all remember Dirty Harry. You all know how the Evil Sniper in every spy movie ever made has a rifle that can be taken down to fit in a briefcase. Well, I want one of those. Not for any dubious purpose, but just as sort of a novelty fun rifle. Does anybody make them in .308, .30-06, or a similar caliber? What sort of price am I looking at paying for one? It would also be good to not have to headspace it each and every time, and bolt-action is preferable.

I understand that they're pretty inaccurate and that unless the scope stays on the receiver, you'll have to re-zero it each time, but like I said, it's more of a novelty gun.

Gracias para la información, y muchas gracias por la Goya.

I saw a custom mauser job that would break down where the barrel met the receiver. it was really nice. Thats 8mm so its pretty powerful.

My ARMS throw lever mounts are guaranteed zero and I remove my scope every time it goes in the case. No accuracy problems.

If I had any rifles, I would own two take down lever action Winchesters.  One is a Model 53, the other a Model 94 in .32 Special.  Look around, they are fairly easy to find, including recent manufacuter .45-70's. All mine were lost in a horrible boating accident on approach to a river lock.
