I sit here choked up after reading the first 14 pages, a detailed account of what happened on the planes that were hijacked that day.

My heart aches for those who were lost.

Damn those who forget so easily.

Every man, woman and middle school child should be made to read, reread and discuss these pages...

...We are flying low.  We are flying very, very low. We are flying way too low."  Seconds later she said, "Oh my God we are way too low."  The phone call ended.

At 8:46:40, American 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City.

...Don't worry, Dad - If it happens it will be very fast - My God, my God.. (Peter Hanson)

The call ended abruptly.  Lee Hanson had heard a woman scream just before it cut off.  Her turned on a television, and in her home so did Louise Sweeney.  Both then saw the second aircraft hit the World Trade Center...

...Jarrah's objective was to crash his airliner into symbols of the American Republic, the Capitol or the White House.  He was defeated by the alerted, unarmed passengers of United 93.

Media doesn't want a lot of sheeple getting pissed off.

They'll just continue to shove all this under the rug.  Anyone that gets pissed (or is still pissed since 9/11) "just doesn't understand the motivations that drove these poor people to do such a thing."

9/11 still burns when I think of it.  For too many it's become just another day that "something happened".

Fuck them.

I think about it.

I think about the people who jumped.

I think about the 3,000.

I think about the soldiers and Marines who fight for us today.

I pray for our future.

Yeah, and I am still thinking  about Clinton laughing about Sandy Burlgar.

They are not forgotten.

Todd Beamer and his crew are real American heroes, the deserve a lot more credit than they have recieved.

Time dulls the senses but there is NO way I will ever forget.  I will not allow myself to forget.

Here, this will freshen you up...

Michael Moore Insults Flight 93 Heros

Mr. Moore "went into a rant about how the passengers were scaredy-cats because they were mostly white. If the passengers had included black men, he claimed, those killers, with their puny bodies and unimpressive small knives, would have been crushed by the dudes."

Where might one pick up a copy of the report?

Edit: disregard, found it.

I keep this pic handy for anyone that goes soft on fighting terrorism, I ask them if this were you what/who would you be thinking about on your way down?

Not to take away credit from Todd Beamer but who where the rest of the people that helped him out?

Yet, three years later, we are no safer. I can still smuggle a box cutter onto a plane.

My last flight, an off-duty pilot in the jump seat opened the cockpit door at least once during the flight.

I hate to suggest it, but if passengers were allowed to carry on planes, roughly 3000 poeple would likely still be alive......

Just like putting up with the $200 Tax Stamp....

Be Glad we know at least One Name.

Never Forget.

They were all heroes, some more than others in the eyes of the media (which is all we will hear about), but that does not make them "lesser heros".

We are still here, let's try to keep it that way instead of retreating!

I disagree.  A box cutter isn't going to do you a bit of good.  After 9/11, passengers aren't just going to sit and wait to die.

Again, I disagree.  Flight 93 backs up the notion that had the passengers of the other three planes known what the terrorists had in mind, the takeovers would not have been successful, guns or no guns.

The success of the hijackings relied on the naivete of the passengers; it could also be considered the element of surprise.  That's now gone.  They'll have to do something different to take down more planes.

As someone who works in air cargo...
Security is very tight today.
Still needs work though.
