The shutdown email monitoring program explicitly did not look at American's email. Only overseas stuff. The program that Snowden "exposed" didn't exist and was made up.
The foreign only email monitoring program was the one that was shut down. Folks also forget the Gigabytes of US intel info that Snowden stole. The folks at the facility where he worked were pissed about the stolen info, and didn't care about the "whistle blowing" because he made that program up. |
