Alight. I currently have Norton Internet Security and Anti-Virus 2004 and a Spyware removal program installed on my computer. After noticing alot of problems with my computer and running my anti-virus, it gives me a report that says I have no files infected but about 80 files that are "at-risk" and it shows that they are Adware. The ant-virus will not delete these for some reason. I have gone to the website and followed the directions to edit the registry but the files are not where the website says they should be I am convinced that I need some software that removes the Adware. I am looking for the best program for this and I don't want to download any free stuff. Can anyone makea recommendation? Thanks |

Spybot Search and Destroy is good also. There is a new version available. It will install the teatimer which will prevent a lot of infestations. <G> Dennis Jenkins

Also try this Spybot Search & Destroy: www.spybot.info/en/index.html In addition to Ad-ware. I've not too keen on Norton's Anti-virus software. It keeps on missing the Coolweb Search Virus that infects my computer. I used Macafee & Ad-aware picked up and deleted it. |

I run Zone Alarm, Ad Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy. I run the Ad software at least every other day, and ABSOLUTELY if I may accidentally stumble upon any "adult" sites, which will absolutely KILL your OS if you are not careful about what you pick up from them. Hey, picking up infections from adult sites, internet porn will even give you diseases! |
Put a condom on your mouse and you won't have that problem! |
