Well, for the police on this site, one of your brothers in the shield made you look really good today. I was coming home with my daughter tonight from the gun show and was speeding. Which at least 20 people in front of me was doing also. There were 3 people that passed me just before I got hit on radar. I was talking with my daughter, not watching the speedo and thought I was around the right speed because of the traffic around me. But I was speeding. Well, I got radared and popped for going 12 over. I will go 5 or so over once in a while, but I was flabber gassed, cause I didn't know I was going that fast. When I looked down at my console after I saw the State officer, I was already slowing down, cause that's a natural reaction. I WAS speeding and can't blame anyone but me. I just happened to be the one that the officer decided to radar at that time and pull over. I may have been going a couple of miles over the others, because they may have seen the officer first. But if I didn't want a ticket, I should have been watching my speed better. So I do take responibility. Anyway, the officer was curtious and polite. He asked me if I had a clean driving record. This is my first speeding ticket in 26 years of driving. And he asked me why I had 6 ammo cans in the back seat (cause I just came from the gun show), I told him that and that they were empty. He asked if I had any weapons in the back. I said, just one AR upper. He asked if I had a CCW, I said yes, then he asked if I was carrying, I said no. He didn't search my car, went back to his car, wrote me up for 5 over with no points. He said that he appreciated my cooperation, cause I pulled over quickly and in a safe place, and that I was polite. He said that he didn't want to get crazy on me and write me up so I had points placed on my license. He told me how to take care of the ticket over the phone if I wanted too and told me to have a safe weekend. I shook his hand and said thank you for the way he handled my stop and to have a good night. Score one for the poooolice. THIS is the way I expect interactions between police and the "normal" public to happen. Granted I had my daughter in the car, didn't look like a nut and acted in a polite and respectful way, but this was handled very well. The state policer did good in my book. He didn't act like a control freak. Didn't act like I was a terrorist and he was going to save the world by busting me. I assume he used his common sense and his brain. I do get pretty peeved when I see LEO's get out of hand, cause with the authority granted to them by us, they should be better than us when it comes to handling interactions with others. But this officer is ok in my book. He did very good! And I appreciate the break he gave me. I just wonder why it was my turn to get busted? Maybe a good learning lesson for my daughter? Watch your speedo and don't get fined? Or maybe it was just for me to watch better. |
The little brat reached under her baby seat even after I told her to keep her hands visible, so I had to zap her. Another convict in training she was. |

It was probably like that guy on the police video who is screaming out of his mind at the COP the whole time & then balls up the ticket & thoughs it on the ground while the COP is polite the whole time! Just kidding, glad you had a good cop ticket you, you naughty speeder. |
