WTF is up with that? MY BAD? sounds so ghettoish. Now if you are a total dirt bag loser that lives in the projects of detroit and never went to school I guess you don't know any better. But if you have any brain cells and an education beyond 1st grade I see no need to use this made up fabricated worthless term. So, do you use it? |

I used to stress over shit like this and then I realized that English is still evolving, especially the vernacular. Consider the phrase, "That's cool!" WTF does being "cold" have to do with something that is pleasing to us? Nothing of course. So chill out, kick back, and pop a cold one :D |

I have a good time trying to be cool using new phrases and words that make absolutely no sense. There is a time and a place for everything. I really dont understand why folks are so quick to pin these "words" on a particular race. Our neighborhood is a mixture of races and ALL the kids (white, black, vietnamese, mexican) speak like that. My oldest son is at the top of his class in reading and writing and I hear him saying "dog" "my bad" "tight" all the time. Nothing wrong with a generation of kids coming up with their own style. Been going on for a long time. |
Because kids (mostly white) want to be like "BLACK gangsta's". They see it on MTV and such and want to be "cool". No doubt your son is affected by this phenomena. |
LOL... I wish you could meet him. He is one of the most personable, polite, young men you would ever meet, that I guarantee. For some reason, he is able to seperate play time from work time. For some reason, he is able to maintain his own identity. He is a leader, not a follower. I am very proud of my son and what he is becoming. For some reason, he is able to befriend people of many colors without prejudice. To put some icing on the cake, he can outshoot most adults on the skeet range. So, say what you will RIP and I respect your opinion. |
He can be ALL that (I am sure he is) and still be affected. But he is one of the lucky ones (to have a dad like you and him being so smart). |
