Russia screws up yet again.
 Some highlights: This cassette dispenses several mines from man portable launcher, MLRS and other systems. Each mine requires a common button battery to arm. Russia quit sending the loaded cassettes with batteries! So now each mine has to be unloaded, install battery and reload. AND the batteries they sent separately are so old they are leaking so each battery has to be tested for voltage!

Czech MoD will soon start repairing Ukrainian T-64s, which will go directly to the battlefield.
Before the war started, Ukraine had more than 500 T-64s in storage, and Czechia has already been renovating/modernizing T-72s for Ukraine. I'm not exactly an expert by any means, but I have heard people say that the T-64 is a better tank than the T-72. In any event, I think that more armor of all sorts is good, because even if the counter offensive goes extremely well, the Ukrainians are going to take a lot of armored losses. |

"While the T-64 was the superior tank, it was more expensive and physically complex, and was produced in smaller numbers. The T-72 is mechanically simpler and easier to service in the field, while it is not as well protected, and its manufacturing process is correspondingly simpler." |

But today, after 40 years of upgrading and more than 50 different versions a comparison is more than difficult and leads nowhere without discussing the exact versions.

I can't imagine they've been doing too many new builds since the party kicked off. With the Czechs offering to repair battle damaged tanks, my money was on the Poles doing refurbs. |

This is a European problem and they should be sending the bulk of the equipment. Let us put this into perspective. The UK has around 180 fighters, around 150 tanks. Population, 67 million. Singapore has around 100 fighters, around 170 tanks. Population, 5.6 million. If Europeans fear Russia and want to deter Russian they need to spend a lot more on defense. |
