Some of the guys have talent for sure, a few of the younger guys are just there for the show, it seems. That fat fuck is the most annoying of them all, just like Mikey from OCC. Boyd designs the cars and oversees their fabrication. He doesn't NEED to be hands on any more, he's the owner of the company. He did that stuff in the early days, I'd reckon. The shop manager seems to become an asshole under pressure and of course the show edits for more drama. I agree that Coddington does charge too much, but it's the same with OCC. Now that they are on TV the can demand a higher price. Boyd was huge before TV, but again it's mostly the name. Watch the show "Rides" on TLC to see some real craftsman in small shops build amazing cars. |

I agree that foreman dude is a bitter ole bitch. And what's with all the lame teenie boppers doin all the wrenchin?...Dudes like that blue boy or blue beard or whaterver the f*ck?...doin things like leavin all the suspension bolts loose when others are supposed to assume otherwise the next day? I mean I guess I can see the free publicity form a show like that(or whatever moneys their making directly from it),but an outfit like Boyds....perhaps the best known,most respected name in his niche....I'm not so sure I'd want to have it known all the low rent fuckups I have building these super expensive rides...    The paint guy(Charlie?) does seem to have a clue and be a decent guy at the same time. |

| You guys don't really believe the "drama" on American Chopper and American Hotrod is any less scripted than any other so-called "reality" show, do you? I actually enjoy watch the skill and craftmanship that goes into all the custom fabrication but find the shows difficult to watch because of all the contrived drama. |
