www.tucsoncitizen.com/breaking/061104_agents_dead.html June 11, 2004 Two border agents found dead LUKE TURF Tucson Citizen Two off-duty Border Patrol agents were found dead on the Tohono O'odham Nation early Friday morning. Tohono O'odham Police officers found the bodies of the man and woman at 2:30 a.m., in what officers initially believed was an abandoned vehicle, according to U.S. Border Patrol spokeswoman Andrea Zortman. The vehicle was in the San Xavier District of the Nation, just southwest of Tucson, she said. She did not know what kind of vehicle it was. She also did not say what sector of Border Patrol the agents work in. The Tucson sector covers all of southern Arizona, except around Yuma. Tohono O'odham Police is investigating and the FBI has sent an evidence response team, Zortman said. "That's all we're putting out right now pending notification of family," she said. No other information was available this afternoon. |

Just for your information, we recently had a high-ranking official in the Border Patrol die on his way to a press conference. The story reported was that as he drove down the Interstate he shot himself in the head with his service pistol. Does anybody else have a problem with that idea? |
