| Who is the girl in Tk's videos? |
you, and a lot of other people took that way out of context when he said that. He said that the war would probably viewed by alot of people as a mistake years after..... Those are the same people who see it that way now. He never said he felt that way. One guy posted what he remebered Toby saying in that CMT special, he wasn't actually watching it. His wife was, and he overheard it, he thought. Everybody here took that as gospel. Go back and view the special for yourself. It was not said that way at all. I don't notice people who think this war is a mistake going over there on their own dime to entertain the troops. Do you?? |
|
I did to see him say it. On more than one occassion, and came away with the same impression both times. He says, whatevever his thoughts on the war, he still supports the troops. He also said he is just and entertainer, and it really isn't his place to run his mouth about his feelings. Hard to take that out of context. He is also a Democrat. Says he agrees more with them than Republicans and Bush. He deserves a lot of respect for the songs he chose, and the work he did for the troops. I wouldn't wish to take that away from him. Much, much more than what other musicians do. |
| TK a Democrat, get out of town. From what I've seen he don't act like a Democrat. As far as the war being a mistake, the people of Iraq needed to be free of Sadam, in that way it's good what we're doing but lets wait and see just how friendly they are to us in a few years. All too often we send in our troops who shead their blood to free a people only to have those same people spit on us and tell us "Yankee go Home" after the fightin' is over. I don't like the idea of spillin' American blood for ungratefull people. |
He is an OK democrat. All that means is he is a Conservative that has ties to farming or ranching. Our democrat governer and legislature strengthened our CCW and open carry laws last year. I wish all democrats were like the ones here in OK. |
Is there a difference between "Democrat" and "Liberal"? As you just said, your elected people are Dems but act in a conservitive manner(read non-liberal). We've had Repubs. that act in a very liberal manner(McCainn for one) so how can you tell if someone is a "good" Dem or a "bad" Dem. Are they a good witch or a bad witch,LOL. All this political crap gets me corn fuzed sometimes.

Only good Democrat there is in the legislature today is Zell Miller from GA. He spoke at the NRA banquet a couple of years ago, yep not a typo, Democrat and NRA in the same sentance. Too bad, he is retiring when his term is up, it is very sad, he was the only hope the Democratic party had. |
He also has publicy endorsed GWB for President in '04. |

I agree Dem's can be good people, but voting for them only bolsters the overall numbers in the Senate and House. And that's definitely a bad thing. Kind of a catch-22. Makes it hard not to vote for a bad Republican like Mike DeWine of Ohio. I hate voting for him, but the Senate needs a Republican in his seat. The choice of which Republican you want to run is supposed to be made in the primary. In the General Election. you need to vote for the party. |
I dont know, I have one across the road form me, that belongs in another state....as of now he lives in the state of denial.... But yes, Henry has turned out to be OK, but I did not vote for him.. |
| Until the last 10 years or so in the South the real election was the Democratic primary. No chance for a Republican to win in the general election. Sen. Shelby from the great State of Alabama was a Dem who switched to the Rebulican party. We now have a Rebulican govenor and two U.S. Senators. Unheard of 20 years ago. |
