For those of you in the modeling hobby, be careful about dealing with Internet Hobbies. My buddy told me, after I placed an order, that they took forever to ship his stuff. He had to call them more than once and get nasty about it. When it finally arrived, they didn't pack it well and it was crushed. Well, I placed an order with them at the beginning of the month. On the 15th they sent me an e-mail to expect delivery in 3 to 5 days. It didn't show up on Friday, the 28th, so I e-mailed them again. They sent me an e-mail today that it's been cancelled and the item is out of stock. I paid for this with Pay Pal and they still have my money. Just a word of caution. |
This can go for basically any online merchant. Merchants: If the shit isn't in stock don't fucking list it on your site as available.

A: NEVER use paypal for a purchase other than one through EBAY where it's protected and will be investigated and fraudulent sellers will be ass-raped. B: ALLWAYS shop at a site which takes credit cards; and more importaintly, use one with good cardmember protection, such as AmEx (American Express) with whom you can cancel a payment if the seller fucks up royally. Do this, and you will never have problems. Most sellers tend to haul ass to help you when they find out you cancelled your AmEx payment when they went dead-beat on an order (especially something expensive). |
