Hey,

My boss's work hard drive is full. The helpless desk can't provide any help.

How can you tell what is taking up the most space? What can he do to get rid of junk? Are there a bunch of temporary files that can deleted easily?

He has Win2000.

Someone posted a link to Space Monger last week or two and the replies were good. I d/l'd it but haven't tried it. I can email/host it if you'd like. You can probably Google it. It is 102k.

Hey, bosses like decisive workers, do it with authority and explain all that crap on the hard drive was really bogging his mangement style down.  Probably get a raise after it.

Just keep right click/properties starting at the root level to check sizes and find your way to the mess.

Go to my computer.  Then go to every directory under it.  Right click on the folder with your mouse and look at the size of the folder.  Keep doing this until you find the folders that are filling up the dirve.

This is what I do on machines I have to work on.  Go to Start - Search - For Files and Folders.

Then look for all of the large files to see what is taking up the space.
