Lott's stuff is always so well-researched. I generally argue against gun control with more common sense an less facts (i.e., people have the right to defend themselves, and thus to the effective means - guns; not facts and figures about crime falling). Neither style is really better, although some people are more influenced by one or the other. Good article.
