So, I am traveling in a couple of days.  I want to copy some of my DVDs to my laptop from the built in DVD player to watch on the plane.

I want to copy them to the HDD so I don't have to use the DVD Rom, which kills the battery.

Can someone point me to some software that will do this or tell me how?

Thanks!

dvd shrink as well. It will compress it down to 4.7 gb as well. You may need both dvd shrink and decrypter to get them to hd.

Dameon ToolDameon Tools is what I use to mount Iso's  of course with dvd shrink you could just rip the vobs and if open them from your software player no need to make and mount a ISO. just find the vob for the menu and use that.
