I bought myself a new knife lastnight, it's a Gerber 3.0 BBS. A great folding knife with a serated edge. But Sharp! I cut myself a few times already. Need to be carefull. What kind of pocket knife do you carry?

I have a little bitty two-blade Kershaw (quite old) that I carry.  I also wear a Chuck Hawes custom in a sheath on my belt--small damascus with mammoth ivory grip panels in a Bob Schrap sheath.  Those two are with me always.

CRKT M16 with the arfkom logo

Oh and after  a year I found my folder dagger-er I mean my Gerber Sykes Fairbain (or whatever they are) What was I thinking? Talk about a useless knife, while not if you are stabbing someone I guess.

I almost always carry a folder and a fixed blade. For general cutting chores I usually carry a S&W FL3500 framelock tanto or a SOG Flash assisted opener. For more serious work my primary blade is a CRKT 7" Hissatsu fighter.

I had the tip break on my Delica II when I was on a ladder cutting something and it fell. It was a good knife and served me a good 5 years or so but I think I will go for something different next time I buy one.

I had a Gerber Applegate Mini-Covert, it was nice but a little small for my taste.  Lost that, bought a Kershaw Whirlwind.  That was a little too big, and felt kind of flimsy.  Lost that one too and bought a CRKT M16Z in a blister pack from The Sports Authority.  This one is juuuust right .

Emerson La Griffe around my neck, Emerson Commander in right pocket, Gerber Multi plier on belt and last but not least a Wilson Tactical Model 2 fixed blade carried MOB. And I don't even consider myself a "Knife" guy.

Geez, I can't believe you guys pay hundreds of dollars for those high-dollar knives.  I'm gettin' me a gen-u-ine SEAL Bowie knife from Sportsmans Guide--for fifteen bucks.  It's the real deal--used by SEALS.  Wickedly sharp too.  If you guys were more frugal with your money you could buy more Wolf ammo.

I bought myself a Kershaw Rainbow Leek at the last gunshow (past Saturday).  www.knifeworks.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2892

I seem to have lost my Chive so I needed a replacement.  This new one is bigger.   And shinier.

Hey, if it's a genuine SEAL knife, and has a "wickedly sharp edge" it's GOT to be a good knife.

I prefer the Emerson CQC-6, myself.

Well, my dad would say "that paper will sit still and let them print anything on it"--but I have faith the SEALs actually carry this knife.  It's just too cool not to--not to mention tactical.  Call me a dreamer.

I've had a quadjillion different knives and my favorites always seem to be Emersons and Benchmade.  Although I had a Lagriffe come out of that little kydex sheath while wearing it around my neck once........nasty cut.......gave up on neck knives after that one.  My favorite is my Emerson karambit.  Love that thing.
