If the parents refuse to abide by that agreement than they are in violation of that contract. This Woman and her Husband by the article posted seem to be quite open about their activities. The photo the OP posted appears to be the woman dressed as a catholic school girl, what next a nun? Yet we expect this parish to do nothing when the Woman and her Husband have no intentions in stopping. This not just some private school it is a religious community that agrees to adhere to certain religious principles and leadership. If the parish does nothing than their handbook and guidelines mean nothing. They want their family to be a part of a religious community but refuse to uphold to agreed upon rules and beliefs of that community. I don't buy for a moment what this woman is saying. Her going to these newspapers making it a much bigger deal but saying she wanted to keep it private and secret does not match up. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. It does not stop there. Further on in the NEW testament Christians are commanded to perform excommunication from the church of those who refuse to conform to the word of GOD in the new testament. Such as in Titus, "As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him" Or 1 Corinthians 5:11 "But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindlernot even to eat with such a one." and 2 Thessalonians 3:13-15 ESV "As for you, brothers, do not grow weary in doing good. If anyone does not obey what we say in this letter, take note of that person, and have nothing to do with him, that he may be ashamed. Do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother." In the New Testament Paul speaks of Hymenaeus and Alexander who were adheratnts to a antinomianism which was a belief that christians did not need to hold to Christian morality. Here is the passage 1 Timothy 1:20 Among whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme. Romans 16:17 I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. 1 Corinthians 5:13 "God judges those outside. "Purge the evil person from among you." This is saying do not judge individuals outside the church "non believers" but is addressing individuals who proclaim to be believers and if they are actual unrepentant that you are to separate them from the religious body. So what have we here is a Catholic school with guidelines for their students and the parents. From the Schools website "The Sacred Heart Parish School Parent/Teacher Guild unites parents/guardians together to support the [b]spiritual and educational values of our Catholic school." The actual parent guidebook and agreement is not on the site but like most Religious schools their is a statement of faith that the parents must agree and uphold. If the parents refuse to abide by that agreement than they are in violation of that contract. This Woman and her Husband by the article posted seem to be quite open about their activities. The photo the OP posted appears to be the woman dressed as a catholic school girl, what next a nun? Yet we expect this parish to do nothing when the Woman and her Husband have no intentions in stopping. This not just some private school it is a religious community that agrees to adhere to certain religious principles and leadership. If the parish does nothing than their handbook and guidelines mean nothing. They want their family to be a part of a religious community but refuse to uphold to agreed upon rules and beliefs of that community. I don't buy for a moment what this woman is saying. Her going to these newspapers making it a much bigger deal but saying she wanted to keep it private and secret does not match up. Her and the husband have already proven that they can not be trusted by proudly and willfully violating the parent guidelines. I am not catholic nor have I ever been but her and her family agreed to be put under parish guidelines and church discipline and now complain when said discipline is enacted. Also stop miss quoting the bible. ETA: By your interpretation the Catholic Church can not remove Priests for any reason because it would be "judging"  Attached File |
