I lucked out. When I got my WM special  Marlin 45-70, i loaded up a bunch of WW PC 405s with BCL2. Buddy has a shooting  rest that you velcro strap the gun into. Strap the gun in, adjust  the gun to meet the target, trip trigger. I could not imagine shooting  5 five shot groups out of that gun in one day.

RL7?  I have some gas checked 405s that run pretty slow but you can shoot them all day with the hybrid suppressor.  The 325 FTX load is the ass kicker, but I can't get the speeds like the manual suggests.

That’s my main powder, I have a bunch of imr 4227 I’m using up. 1450-1575fps 31-34gr is the powder range.

45-70 is not fun to develop loads for. You have to stand and use a shooting stick. I’ve tried bench shooting....

By round 7, I saw stars. It was beautiful.

There is a reason why people jump 1 full grain of power in developing loads, instead of the usual .3gr.

What I‘ve learned is you get more accuracy the more full the charge is, normally close to max. Standing on a tripod, it’s not so bad and relatively stable.

Is that legal in California? Seems extra deadly

Did you cast the bullets yourself? That's pretty awesome.

No idea, yet. Bought them for an old friend of mine to try in his Shiloh .45-120. First thing he said when I handed them to him was "oh FUCK! You're shooting the first one!"

I may have made a mistake.

Based on thread title I was expecting drilled out nose cavity filled with snake venom and sealed over.

Or the old standby, fill the hole with mercury. That way even if you hit them in the leg it's fatal.

Or pull a Roy Scheider Jaws 2 and fill them with cyanide.
Uhhh....get both.

Edit a brake would be in order, along with a rifle with a strong chamber.

In a short range situation, will it matter? jesus. it's like throwing a 69cal musket ball down range and shattering everything it hits.
