Just bought an adapter to shoot this caliber from my single shot 12 gauge!
|
|
I'd buy it at a reasonable price, I'm down to about 100 rounds IIRC.
|
|
My '58 Remington with the R&D conversion cylinder would love those.

Sell it to one of the posters above.
Or trade it for a box or 2 of .45acp. I'm betting .45LC is harder to find than .45acp. |

No one ever shoots .45 colt anymore, it's a completely antique and worthless cartridge...
I'll pay shipping if you want to send it to me for proper disposal. |

Hell a box of cowboy loads was around $40-$50 and now its all gone. That was the cheap stuff.

Where's all the "you can shoot umpteen different rounds from mild to wild out of a .460 S&W" crew when you need them? OP needs an X-frame.

Am I the only one who scrolled back up to see where OP was located?
|
|
OP - don't you have any friends who are into Cowboy Action Shooting?

View Quote I bought two boxes of cowboy action stuff for my '58 Remington and one box of jacketed soft point for my Redhawk this week. .45 Colt was on the shelf, no .45ACP. |

It will probably sell for $50 on Gunbroker if you can't sell it here.

When I found a half dozen 45 Colt brass in the brass barrel at my range, I researched loads, bought dies and components.
I loaded my first rounds within a couple weeks. I then bought my first SAA, a Cimarron Arms Model P in 45 Colt, which was my first firearm chambered in 45 Colt. Do the right thing, OP. |

WTF is going on here?
Go buy a new gun to fit your ammo, Colt SAA, a 454 Casull. |
|
Gawd NO, don't buy a Judge. If you must buy a $500 handgun for your $60 box of fairly weak ammo, get a Peacemaker clone or a Blackhawk and learn to love slinging big, fat, slow bullets accurately.

It was selling for $40 BEFORE the panic.
It's worth $100 easy. |
|
Be honest - it was Dan or @cavgunner, wasn’t it? Probably Cav because he’s old like that ammo..

Silver bullion, trade for, if you wait awhile maybe a mortgage payment

I sold 6 boxes of Black Hills Cowboy loads I got on clearance at the gun show last weekend for $75 a box!

Somewhat obsolescent cartridge. I think you need to find a means of disposing of what is clearly a lead hazard as soon as practicable. My recommendation is to acquire a Vaquero, Blackhawk, Redhawk or Peacemaker clone, take it to a safe location, (something like a range), and dispose of it properly. Make sure you keep your brass afterward, as firing that obsolescent cartridge can be somewhat addictive, as you can safely dispose of several boxes of .45 Colt at one sitting (unlike some of the hotter magnums). Do it for the children!
