I've got a Savage in .204 that's a really accurate rifle.  But the most fun is also a Savage, MkII FVSR in .22lr.   Just a really fun little rifle.  You can sit down to a bench at the range and play all day.

I don't have the carbine, but the rifle has the same features and attributes.

My Ruger American Ranch in 7.62x39. Low recoil, cheap to shoot, and turned out to be a lot more accurate than I expected. 3/4" groups at 100 yards with cheap Russian ammo.

If you've got a suppressor, its hard to beat the fun of a .300 Blk shooting suppressed subs.

If you reload, you can get a similar effect using a .308 and Trailboss. Regardless, they're comically quiet.

I got the 7.62x39 ruger american and a bunch of sub sonics from Kvar for this very reason. Though i havent gotten much trigger time with them. I did get the ammo before prices went crazy. Paid what would be considered a good deal today.

I havent kept up on all ruger americans but my version has went through the roof on price https://www.gunbroker.com/Bolt-Action-Rifles/search?Keywords=ruger%20american&PageSize=96&Sort=13&View=2&Ch-Caliber=7.62x39  and iv seen several go for $1k

Cz 527 in .22 hornet. Cheap to reload for, ammo is still all over, accurate, not super loud, set trigger, thumps squirrels.

I have the same rifle, been thinking about selling it. It's a nice gun, I just never use it. Keep thinking though maybe down the road I'll have more time for it.

Mine is reamed out to the Kilbourn version (.22K Hornet), so I get to fireform brass for it. I've pulled it out to sell a few times over the years, but as soon as I handle it and shoulder it, I just put it back in the safe.

If I do keep it and start using it, I'm going to need to get it threaded for a suppressor. It's really a pretty quiet gun already.

Probably my RAR .300 blk

TBH though it's more the cartridge itself and the reloading aspect.

For pure giggle factor you can't beat .300blk suppressed from a bolt gun

We shoot steel and clays at 200yds and steel at 300yds and it's a lot of fun

I had one in .223 and one in 7.62x39.

Sold the .223 a few years back, kind of regret it now although I never shoot anything unsuppressed anymore anyway. I have two 527 Suppressor-Ready models (a Blackout and Grendel), thinking about a third in .223.

The 7.62x39 I had converted to 6.5 Grendel back in 2012 (can't believe it's been that long). This is how she looks now:

Yep. Just tap approve and move on, assuming it's not something COC. Your action will be logged though, so if you approve something COC I assume you'll be getting contacted.

I really like my blaser straight pulls. Incredibly fun to shoot

I suspect the blasers are more accurate, but not by much

This is my K31 at 100 yards with a 2X optic and my old eyes.

I have a couple of old Spanish 1916 mausers in. 308 Win that I have been casting an powder coating for.

Plan is to put them on top of some 2400, Reloader 7 or Unique and that should make a couple of real fun bolt guns for schmacking clay pigeons on the berm.

For me, either of these two:

CZ527FS with an Accupoint 1-4 with a German #4:

Ruger Scout with an uncatalogued Leupold optic that shot perfectly out of the box (no need to regulate or adjust anything, no tweak of the scope....it was weird):

But my CZ452 Trainer with its absurdly long 24" barrel is hilarious fun to shoot, and my buddies all claim that I'm cheating when I use it.

I have a Savage 12 in .223.  I picked it up a few years ago because I wanted a fun little bolt gun.

I still haven't shot it yet

Still...anytime I shoot, my Marlin 25 in .22lr always comes with me.

A Enfield #2 MK IV .22 trainer by a mile.....I put a Parker-Hale 5A on it and it's a joy to shoot.

It's the only rifle that you have to quit shooting when the magazine is full.....It's a single shot and empties eject down and into the gutted magazine.

I would suggest a Ruger American Ranch in 7.62x39mm. It takes larger capacity Mini 30 mags and appears to shoot even cheap steel-cased ammo well..

I find that I always go back to my 22's for pure grinning fun.

From my 1930 Winchester Model 52 match, my first rifle my Grandmother gave me at 5 years old, to my custom Savages.....to my new Tikka T1x. Those little 22's always make my day.

I guess I never really grew up.

Might be a 1000yd range opening nearby me.  I want to build an AWM style rifle, but I have no idea where to even start.

That would be the most fun for me as it would be one of the only bolt guns I'd ever own.
