View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: I've noticed so many slick sleeves, don't troops deploy anymore? Where are the deployment patches? Four years of relative peace. Four years is around 1/5th of a career, so most of the Private through Specialists/Corporal-types in the Guard have never deployed overseas. Orange Man reduced overall OPTEMPO, therefore, the requirement for repeated Guard overseas deployment has mostly gone away. The days when 3/4s of the formation in "frequent flyer" guard units like the 37th Brigade, 53rd Brigade and the 34th Division had combat patches are (for now), in the past. |

Quoted: You realize they had no choice right? They didn’t go because they wanted to do anything, they went because they signed a contract and their “boss” said go. You can’t just say “no thank you”. My daughter was there, and the general attitude was “were ok with this as long as they don’t ask us to do anything to law abiding citizens “ so yes, most knew what was going on. Some of you say, sure just following orders when the take your guns and round you up. Not true. The majority we know are ready for those orders and will openly refuse. I also acknowledge the fact that not all will feel that way. Let’s hope the numbers are on the good side. We have no controll over it either way. We can only deal with the outcome. But don’t put them down for doing what they were told, they knew no one would be there. View Quote Dental plans. Just following orders. Fuckin cops. Oh. Wait. The military would never do something like this. So when the "boss" say jump, when do they stop saying how high? Shooting "insurrectionists" and "terrorists"? Maybe next time they'll think twice and join the insurrection. |

So when they deploy the have no logistics in place for their stay? Sounds like a crack unit.

Issue is that turnover is very real in these units a lot of guys/gals have been getting there time in and getting out in 8 years. What most don't realize is when a NG unit deploys in a state with multiple BCTs there is no guarantee you will be going with your home unit especially if your in a "needed" MOS in another. That doesn't really help moral and retention does it? |

I'd be very surprised if the G3 (J3 for NGB?) or whoever has been tasked with logistical support didn't order port-a-jons placed nearby.
There just isn't any way for two heads (or what you Army weirdos call "latrines" ) could support the equivalent of a BDE. Nobody in the ARNG is that fucking stupid. Article sounds like bullshit. Also, bear in mind that ARNG leadership is being jerked the fuck around by slimy, inept politicians and are probably in constant "react" mode based on the whims of the former. |

Dude is scum The question is, what part of the oath "to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic" did they violate? I understand the concern and I'm onboard with Biden being an illegitimate president, but ARNG Soldiers in DC were and are neutral props and little more. They stood on the streets of DC with unloaded rifles, according to the two I know that are there now. |

Well maybe now they'll know better than to show up to be fear-mongering scenery for the assholes running DC, next time.
"two weeks of sleepless nights" Pictures of the preceding two weeks suggest otherwise. |

how stupid does one have to be to think senators and congress-losers actually care about the military
Before you are allowed to enlist you should have to tour a VA hospital so you get some understanding that Washington DC hates you. |

Quoted: You should give a shit. It's not like you can just say "Fuck this, I'm not going!". They would be subject to the UCMJ and listed as AWOL or after thirty days, desertion.
