If you don’t change the underlying information like post counts, EE feedback and member number I have a feeling a script comparing the site to a cached copy will tie most old and new usernames.

I was Originally that. My email got changed. Was new to the working of the site and had to get another user name to get back on. Don't worry. Site staff back then already got on me about having another account. I didn't know that was a no no. Site staff deleted Spooge5150. So, no worries. I do not have 2 accounts.
