I'd totally accept Don't Tread On Me. Great song. One is pretty damn awesome.
The guitar is catchy and the lyrics are very thought provoking. |

Quoted: I don't disagree, but what album was Dave Mustaine the singer on? And Rust in Peace is the best metal album of all time. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: I'll go to my grave liking Megadeth better than Metallica. Don't get me wrong, I love Metallica, but they are the weakest of the Big Four to me. I don't disagree, but what album was Dave Mustaine the singer on? Metallica: One (Official Music Video) But I’m also partial to their instrumentals. Suicide and Redemption is underrated but Orion and the Call of Ktulu are the OGs and are awesome. ETA The Unforgiven is also a favorite and its lyrics have grown to have more meaning for me as I’ve grown up. |

If Metallica broke up and never played again after 1987 they would be one of the greatest bands of all time. However,I have to judge things in their entirety and much like The Simpsons and Star Wars the brief period of brilliance is so strongly diluted by decades of sucking that overall I have to give them a solid “meh”.
The answer is Trapped Under Ice though but everything off MoP and Ride the Lightning is fantastic,Kill Em All a little less so but still way better than anything they did from 1988-present. |

First four albums are the only ones I like. I think I'd have to go with Frayed Ends of Sanity, but it changes all the time.

I have recently found a renewed love for Metallica. Like most, I don’t care for St. Anger. I don’t blame them for what it is, seeing as where they were in their lives at that time.
As for a particular song, I can’t pick just one, it really depends on my mood. The Garage Album is one that I turn to a lot. But really any of them are good. |

I brought my (then) 6-year-old to see them a few years back.
At the end of the show some guy asked him if he had fun. His response was “I wish they played Damage, inc.” Each song off the first 5 albums is claimed to be somebody’s favorite. They’re all acceptable answers with the exception of Sandman and Nothing Else Matters. These are good songs but their success ruined the band. |

Quoted: I’m gonna be “that guy”..... Huge fan of the Black album. . View Quote If they play 5 songs off this album at a show then these will be the five best songs played at the show. The Black album is an absolute crowd pleaser. Everybody that hates the black album will shout “SAD BUT TRUE” louder then any chorus off Ride the Lightning |

View Quote edit-I saw them back in 1999, they were one of many bands at an all day concert. When they played Nothing Else Matters, I got goosebumps. Will add some of my other faves: Ride the Lightning, Blackened, One, To Live is to Die, Eye of the Beholder, ...and Justice for All, Master of Puppets, Fade to Black, Harvester of Sorrow, Sad But True, Enter Sandman. And yes, I like Fuel, King Nothing, Until it Sleeps, and I Disappear as well. |

No Musical talent whatsoever, just a cult following. That said there was one song, I think it might have been something like Whiskey in the Jar..Only one that was even close to good. And besides the lead singer is so horrible, you need a manuscript just to figure out a word or two he is even singing, He is worse than my Wife screaming at me in a in coherent manner..LOL The drummer did seem to have some talent though. |
