I like an opposing, logical viewpoint.
Having said that, I have had three put on ignore in 13 years. Two of them I believe are no longer with us.  All three were/are prolific posters. I have a tendency to read every post, and when it gets to the point where I start just automatically skipping their posts when I see their avatar, I just put 'em on ignore. It's a time saver. What would be more interesting are my notes. When somebody posts something important about their life and I catch it, I make a note of it. |
