I would Say The Professor and the Madman. is probably his best work yet. Outstanding movie |

I came here to post that it is most definitely NOT Fat Man. What a piece of shit.
Braveheart for the win. |

Quoted: Mel Gibson's greatest role https://filmschoolrejects.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/braveheart.jpg View Quote William Wallace! Knew it before I opened the thread. |

Conspiracy Theory was dang good.
Some of that stuff rings true today. |

Quoted: I really like him in the Patriot, but my favorite Gibson film is The Edge of Darkness. It had his typical "they murdered what was dearest to me, now they'll real the whirlwind" mechanisms, but this was his best, IMO. The Brit actor who played the ABC agency spook was also most excellent. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/413035/edge-of-darkness_jpg-1781469.JPG View Quote That was a good movie. really liked the death of the John Kerry-ish character. |

Quoted: I thought he did a pretty good job of playing Hal Moore in We Were Soldiers. He certainly nailed many of his mannerisms. View Quote Attached File |

Mad Max by like a hundred million miles. Those first two movies were practically my religion when I was a little kid.
Speaking of Mel, Fatman is great, as is Dragged Across Concrete. If you haven't kept up on his elder years. |

Id vote for Patriot, too.
But I just watched The Professor and the Madman last week and he was excellent in that movie. Sean Penn was simply phenomenal. |
|
Didn't he play the gun in Heat?
If so, that was his best role. |
|
There are very few movies he's done that I DONT like.
Truly one of the greats |

Quoted: I enjoyed The Patriot a lot. Lethal Weapon was great. Braveheart was comically inaccurate to history, but entertaining nevertheless. View Quote I am descended from both WW and longshanks. The princess braveheart impregnated in the movie was a child when he was executed. So after watching that movie i am either descended from a genocidal autocrat or a pedo (so i hope the movie is wrong on both counts). |

he's equally talented as a director, I hope he does justice to the wild bunch
his success has brought all who wanted to see what the crucifixion could have looked like, and what a falling empire looks like in its last days |
|
This. All day, every day. The only role that might be better is him as a director. |
|
Tried to like these but just couldn’t get into them. Weird era for movies. |
