I buy $25 Kershaws because: I won’t lose a $25 knife but I guaran-damn-tee I’d lose a $500 Microtech. I can’t sharpen a knife skillfully as stated earlier. I’d lose it. I wouldn’t carry a high quality knife because I’d lose it. The edge might get damaged cutting wires or heavy zip ties. It’d stay locked up in the safe because I’d lose it. I’d be afraid to damage the edge when using it like a screwdriver or pry bar. The last reason I wouldn’t spend $500 on a knife is because it would fall out of my pocket somewhere never to be seen again aka losing it. My max $ for a decent quality knife is ~$150. I may go 200-250 for a better auto but I’d need a few drinks first. That almost never happens though. That Embassy for ~$100 is right up my lane. |

They make some good fixed blades. You can watch reviews on YouTube.

Nope. No way. Not gonna pay attention to this.
Frack this site has cost me so much money. |

Oooh man. Looking for fixed blades.
On the flip side. I have rather large/wide palms. What's their biggest knives, fixed and flip? |

A factory second PM2 would be great. I lost mine earlier this year, which really sucked. I bought another PM2, and a tenacious, which I carry each day, so I would be less likely to lose the nice knife again. Be good to have some middle ground there. I could lose a factory second and be less annoyed.
The Chinese Tenacious has been ok, but it's not as nice as the PM2. |

I've been carrying a Spyderco since 1992 when I was 13 or so. The only time I've ever had to replace one is when it got lost or I wanted a different model. I have several but have settled on an all black Salt 2 Delica that never rusts after salt water snorkeling or kayaking. I just give it a quick fresh water rinse, no oil.

Also have an Endura...and would grab a second. Have a Resilience but I wouldn't pull the trigger there unless it was $10 or so... love/hate relationship there. |

Look for the left hand Paramilitary 2 (compression lock) and the left hand Military (liner lock). What do you guys recommend for a good EDC knife from them? Say $100 or less. I used to carry a Griptilian but the clip was a piece of shit. I’ve been carrying a cheap Kershaw for a while and am looking to upgrade.

Guess I'll need to keep an eye out for a manix. I had been carrying a Native 5 for a long time until the clip broke and I never had it replaced, and I'm currently carrying a matriarch 2 but its not a good option for general purpose cutting.

I’ve been carrying a cheap Kershaw for a while and am looking to upgrade. View Quote Their core models, (like the griptillian is that company), to would be the Delica and Endura. The Delica would be the rough equivalent to the mini-grip, and the Endura to the fullsize-grip. The standard versions of the Delica and Endura are sub-$100 anyways, so a second should be well within your price range. If you want to move it up a notch, look at the Paramilitary 2. They go for $130-150 for a standard version, so I’d assume a “second” is going to be sub-$100. |

Hoping to snag another LC200N blade or 3. I've been really impressed with that steel as an EDC knife at work.
