I'm Star Wars 501st Legion and we have patches with guns (blasters) all the time. I don't know if there will be a connection to modern guns. I would guess any future Mando patches would include blasters.

I am a lifelong mil.
But I also know there are a lot of civilians out there that train hard and could outshoot/outfight quite a few active duty combat arms troops. And even if due to budget and/or age many folks dont reach that level, so what, as long as the heart is in the right place. So have at it. I like the "Til Valhalla" patch best. |

Whatever you like. As an ex-bubble headed glow worm, I get no love anyway ;-) but honestly, I've only ever thought 2 awards mattered (much, bronze-silver stars and navy cross, yeah, those are pretty big deals), The Medal, for obvious reasons, and the CIB, which defines a warfighter. You've passed The Test on a 2-way range. That, to me, is a big deal. I have shooting awards, but I'll never have that one.
I think of "moral patches" like bumperstickers. Do I really want to be that guy driving a 1993 Honda Civic hatchback with 42 stickers on the back? Nah.... but he can if he likes. John |
