In my back yard I have a large collection of bicycles (over 100 of them). Some of them I fix up and give to poor children who have cancer, some of them I make into abstract art installations which I donate to veterans' homes and churches. I use most of them in an effort to devise a field-expedient armor system for the humvees our boys are using in Iraq - if I can get it to work, I'll donate it to the DoD. I know it seems a little eccentric, but I like to give something to the community. Anyway, I have this neighbor - the "Quiet guy, I'd never have expected him to go on a panty-raid and arson spree at the Home for Unwed Mothers, but you just don't know anybody, do you?" type. I keep an eye on him, but saw nothing out of the ordinary until today when I saw him and his damned dog lurking out back, staring at my stash! Then he started taking pictures of my yard!! I don't want to make trouble in the neighborhood (partly because this guy looks like he has guns), but I'm a little wigged out. What should I do? |

Quoted: He thinks [red]YOU'RE the creepy neighbor[/red] and the camera was to document the complaint he's probably already filed with your local health or zoning department. [:D] What! [shock] That's just nuts. 100 bicycles isn't really all that much. I think Lance Armstrong travels with like ten of them! I wish I had a digital camera so I could show you. It looks great. |

I understand your intentions are sincere. That being said, if my neighbor had a collection of over 100 bicyles in his backyard, I wouldn't be happy one bit. If I couldn't get the local authorities to do anything about the eyesore, at the very least your bicycles would be mysteriously disappearing in the night. Have respect for your neighbors. Clean up your yard. |

One man's meat is another man's poison. Since I spend a lot of time at our city building, I hear all the stupid complaints coming in from neighbors about the dumbest things. 100 bikes in a backyard would probably make the list as stupid, but sure to piss off someone. I believe you've got them in an orderly manner. Maybe the guy's a photog and just thought a pic of lots of bikes would be cool. |

[RED]8.) Posting repeat topics with similar or slightly varying titles. While it may seem to be funny, the "spamming" of the community in this manner results in problems for users and management. (Multiple topics on important issues or discussions are acceptable, this only applies to topics which waste resources for no other reason except personal enjoyment or humor.) [/RED] |
