My brother recently obtained his gun and guard card(permit to carry a weapon while on duty)He is going to be a guard at a NASA/Lockheed Martin base in our area. He asked his instructor if it was as hard as they say it is to obtain CCW in kaliban. He told him the easiest way is to donate to your local law enforcment of sheriffs oranazations and you can get one(provided your legal n' stuff). I have had these people call me all the time, and turn them down. Am I turning down a ccw buy doing this. Anyone ever heard of this or gotten a CCW this way?

I think that was a comment on the political spoils system that 'may issue' states end up having.  I doubt it's legitimate bribery.

I don't know about other counties, but Contra Costa is well-known to have a crony system in place.  If you've the means to donate $50,000 to the Sherriff's reelection campaign, your reason for needing a CCW will probably be viewed as valid.  So would being a wealthy or powerful local figure.  Donating $50-$100 may get you a thank you, but nothing more.
