Layed away a used Pre-Ban TEC-22 with 2 30 Rounders for $189.00.
The gun was never sent back to the factory for that mandated "safety" modification, either.
I checked.
Good?
Bad?
The mags are co-eficient with the Ruger 10/22, so 2 30 Round 10/22 mags definitley sweeten the deal.

I got letters from them about a recall, a long time ago...anyway, from my experience with Tec-22s, the butler creek is ok in the 10-22, not the Tec. Compare the butler with an Eagle 30 or the 10-22 rotary 10 rounder...there is no ejector on the butler (left rear feed lip) Use the Ruger mag as a standard of reliability. I found opening and polishing the chamber helps. Also on mine, the recoil spring was too strong, causing malfs. The Tecs will rust in a heatbeat, if ya let 'em. Cut a piece of black gummy hose to slide up the trigger to prevent kick back. If yours has the threaded muzzle, put an O-ring on it to prevent losing the knurled nut. I managed to get mine to empty all 30 many times, till it got dirty...use cleaner ammo. I finally cut a Winchester rifle barrel up a made several Tec-22 barrels, then it out shot my MKIIs! Sorry you asked?
