I'm a 19 year old Missouri resident and I would like to get my CC Permit ASAP, however Missouri's age is 23 not 21. I was reading over the law the other day and saw that MO will honor permits from other states, so if I where to mail order say a Florida permit when I was 21 could I carry in Missouri? Thanks Jerad |

I did check and missouri recognises licenses issued by ANY other state. And yes you can mail order a Flordia CC license, You have to request a CCW packet and include: Application form (2 pages)which requires notarized signature $117 cashier's check/money order/certified check/Personal Check(new) Training documentation; eight different records can be accepted such as DD214, NRA/State training course, hunter safety, etc. Fingerprint card One passport sized photo Just wanted to know if I was thinking clearly. |

Quoted: Some states specifically prohibit their residents from carrying within their state off a non-resident permit from another state. Check your state's laws - and the best place to do that is www.packing.org Thanks I went to packing.org and found out that; "Missouri will recognize any license issued by any other state. Since some states do not require residency to issue licenses, a number of Missouri residents and adjoining states already have licenses or can get licenses. These licenses are valid even if issued to persons below the 23 year old age limit of the Missouri law. These licenses are valid even if the issuing state does not recognize Missouri licenses." Jerad, You are on the money so far. I got my PA permit in the first week of March. If I were you I would get a FL permit pack in the mail the day you turn 21, After all, FL permits are good in 25 or so states. I am 23, so I can get a MO permit, but I live in Greene County, so maybe not. If I am going to spend the money on training, I will be getting a FL permit. |

Here is Arizona, we recognize other states too. We even have Utah and Florida instructors here (I am one of them)..Our wonderful law makers are trying to make it that they will recognize other states if you are NOT a resident of Arizona..If you are a resident of Arizona, you must have a AZ permit.... Too many are not taking the mandatory 16 hours of AZ training and opting for the 4 hour Utah with no testing... Check it out before you jump.. |
