I went to Huntsville to see Hellboy lastnight and was surprised by how good it was. The scifi stuff doesn't usually appeal to me but this one was done with great special effects and animation. Anybody else see it yet? If so, didn't the FBI type speak of four freaks being at the facility that Hellboy was staying at? Hellboy, fish type thing, flaming girl, and who else? Maybe I heard it wrong and there were only supposed to be three. Also there was som gunplay with Garands killing some Nazis. About a 6 out of 10 overall and 7 out of 10 for action. IMHO |

It kinda cracks me up. I went to see this with a bunch of friends on Friday....we're all pretty much a bunch of geeks, so it seemed like the perfect film. I'd not read a single issue of the comic, and really didn't know anything about the story going in to the film. Despite this, I had very high expectations, from what I've seen and read... Wouldn't you know it, everyone came out of the film saying it was 'eh'....I thought it fucking rocked. Definitely planning to see it again.....and this even with the image of Ron Perlman as Vincent from Beauty and the Beast, and wondering when the heck Abe would start yakking about Maris.... |
