My buddy just bought a mac 11 pre-ban it has the tommy gun looking 16 inch. barrel but it does not have any stock on it at all. I read in another forem that he would have to put a stock on it to make it legal. My question is,is there anyway to put the wire folding stock on it even if it does not work just to make it legal, or what is his best option,he wants it as short as possible? Thanks Autogunner.

Isn't it a pre ban? What would make it illegal?

http://www.rpbusa.com/ has all kinds of stuff for MACs, including the "Tactical Stock" - a fixed, skeletonized synthetic stock for the M11 series.

There is also an adapter out there which lets you mount an AR stock on a MAC.

What would make it illegal is the overall length I believe. It needs a stock of some kind.

Thanks guys for your help,I think it needs some kind of stock because it has a barrel with a forgrip. If he put the regular threaded barrel on it it would be O.K. without a stock. But he wants to keep the forgrip and put the wire stock on it, but they say the wire stock wont fit on the semi mac11. I know somebody out there has made one work have any of you done this? Thanks Autogunner.

Since it has no provisions for a stock it probably started life as a pistol with the 5.75" barrel. Sounds like somebody bought a new upper for it.

None of that matters if you get the 'original' M-11... [uzi]

'couse, not all states allow them, and I'm currently finding out what a PITA the LEO sig can be... (Most just brush me off -> go talk to (xyz agency), not us)...

But it's the cheapest MG you can buy, and prices aren't gonna come down...
