Ok, we have a Scotch post going and I DO enjoy Scotch! BUT, for me it's not "Scotch Season"!
IT'S RUM SEASON!
What are your favorite good to premium rums?
I like any premium rum but my wallet doesn't
always allow it!
Also, give recommendations with prices!
My "regular" rum is Myers w/ 2 ice cubes.

Costco had some nice Honduran rums, but they seem to have ran out.

Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum is pretty good, too.

Captain Morgan's is reasonbly inexpensive, and with it's sweetness and spice, is basically liquor candy. Mixes well with just about anything or tastes good all by itself.

Rum is unfit for human consumption without extensive modification I.e. adding fruit juices, soft drinks, etc.

I hate rum so my opinion is very biased. Scotch is the only hard liquor I drink.

Another vote for The Captain. Although Bacardi Reserve is superb. Mix either with coke, and you'll be set for a while.

Old Monk Rum
Imported from India
One of the best. I do believe it spends part of its life in the cooling systems of Indian taxis.

Brugal Anejo, I just bought 1.75l for $21.99 and it kicks Bacardi select's ass. It is a Dominican rum.

i like meyers dark rum as well. has a nice butter note in it.

anyone here like Jamaican Dusts? This is a drink I like on a hot summer night:

in one pint glass combine equal amounts meyers dark rum, malibu rum, and tia maria, and top with ice and pineapple juice. yum.
