I am in the process of building a Rock River Arms AR with a 20" BBL and flat top receiver. I have done a lot of research and I would like to know the best 20 and 30 round magazines and where to find them. Also I want a good scope mount for the flat top.  I will be mounting a Nikon or Leupold tactical scope.  Who makes a quality scope mount.  I am thinking about the Hi-Rise sold by RRA, but are there other sources?

I do not see a lot of 20 round magazines listed for sale, I am sure the reason is the 30 round is too long for prone shooting.

Thanks for any help.

Search around here and get USGI 20 or 30's best for the price mags you will get.

The Armalite scope mount runs about $ 80. I have one and am happy with it.

Most 20s are a little older because the military switched to 30s, but they are out there. Personally I like 20s.

I suspect that because they are a bit 'older', there are fewer 20's around than 30's----also, with many believing that there is a strong possiblity that the AWB will sunset, some folks are 'dumping' their 30's, fearing that with expiration of the high-cap magazine ban, that 30's will be selling for $10-$12 each.  Not so with USGI 20's---they aren't making them any more and they likely won't go/come down in price----certainly not much, if at all.
