Does anyone have any suggestions for a good deep frier thats not too much. I just need one to cook enought for 1-2 people.  Just planning on frying shrimps, fish, chicken and stuff.

Just your plain Jane Fry-Daddy works fine.  I've been eying the T-Fal models though...

Best fryer for home: Heavy bottomed S.S. 4 or 6 Qt. stock pot, candy thermometer with clip, spatter screen.  VOILA.  Heat to  350F for most fried items, and lower for garnishes(i.e. leeks, parsnips, chips, etc.)
Stores easily, super reliable, easy to clean and regulate heat.
Good luck with your deep fried preparations, and keep the oil clean--VT

Get the one with the built in basket they only like 30 bucks and will last a long time. You don't have to mess with storing the oil or burning yourself with some other crap. We use ours a lot fried chicken, home made onion rings, fries, potato chips whatever.

We have a fry daddy in the house for small stuff, works great. Do not forget to use peanut oil, taste better and it doesn't smoke as much.

I know what you are saying[:P] fried foods are a killer, but peanut oil is better than lard, so I am told.

I take 3 fish oil pills to slow my death by fried foods.[:D]
