I've worked with many immigrants who were here on J-1 or H1-B visas (engineers). The vast majority of them are very freedom-oriented in their outlook. One who wasn't was my Jamaican college roommate, who is still around somewhere last I heard -- diehard "liberal" to the core.

The mainland-Chinese immigrants in particular have been very enthusiastic about capitalist activities and learning to shoot. They are out there starting businesses and fighting against socialist politicians.  Mostly, anyway.

Indian immigrants have been sorta intermediate in my experience. Their government has brainwashed them thoroughly -- they're willing to support something in between true freedom and the disastrous mess that Indian politicians have maintained, but in a lot of ways they're like horses running back into a burning barn, unwilling to escape their chains completely.

At least they're educable, unlike a lot of American kiddies. I went on a date with an allegedly-educated woman, around 1990, who didn't understand what the Berlin Wall was put in place for and who didn't believe that people were killed trying to escape from behind it.

And then there are all of the incredibly stupid gun owners who think that the Republicans will at least "hold the line" on gun control.  Feh. [:|]

Actually, J-1, F-1, and H1-B VISA holders are by definition, non-immigrants. When their VISA expires, they are required to leave. That doesn't mean they do it. I know a lot of F-1 VISA holders, men and women, who are now here illegally.

Democrat,...as in Feinstein, Schumer, Kennedy, ect.  As in D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T. As in terminate the 2nd Amendment.

Your extremely limited experience with MILLIONS of illegal aliens in our country by no means is representative of how they vote or feel overall. If you have found "freedom oriented" immigrants, then of course, thats a blessing and God bless each one of them.  But you must have gotton lucky.

Not every immigrant is a instant-Democrat.  My wife is an immigrant and she is conservative and pro-gun and her family is half dumb-ass liberal and half conservative.  

Not every Indian citizen is against guns either.  It is possible for a private citizen to own a gun there but they have made it harder to do it in large cities in recent years.  As gun laws have become more restrictive in India the violent crime rate has risen.  Imagine that.

I am an immigrant and am libertarian...  My wife is an immigrant and libertarian-moderate.  Both of us are very pro-gun.

Many of the immigrants I know are unfamiliar with guns, but are not hostile to them either.  And interestingly, most of them have a very matter of fact attitude towards self-defense - they consider it quite right and understandable, very different from the hand wringing by so many Americans about "how can you take a human life to defend yourself... "

Immigrants are not anti-gun, unless you beat them over the head, and they learn to associate gun rights with your hostility.  If you are concerned about immigrants diluting gun rights, make a concerted attempt to reach out to them.  I have taken some 18 individuals shooting over the years, men and women, native born and immigrant; they have all loved it and come away with a much greater appreciation for guns and a much better understanding of the RKBA.  I suggest that you do the same - you will be surprised at how often people are curious about and want to handle guns.

In the 1780s, when the population of the newly hatched US was less than 3 million, and 80% Anglo, Benjamin Franklin worried aloud about the masses of immigrating Germans, ".. who will soon be so numerous as to Germanize us, instead of our Anglifying them...".  Something to think about.
