My friends are considering it, Im just wondering what there is to do up in the great white north and if its really worthwhile. Mainly I don't believe them when they say that "Drinks in bars will be practically free... cus of exchange rates" |

I lived in Montreal for about a year. It is awesome. Not sure what the exchange is now but your money goes alot further. Plus the bars are open really late. If you do go make sure you visit Peel Pub. It is on St. Catherine and Peel I believe. Good place to shoot pool and drink. A good time will be had by all if you visit Montreal. Rob |

I haven't been to a great many places, but I've been to a few. Of them all, Montreal Canada has the best looking people. I've hung around Cresent--I think that's "Cray-sawn" is spelled, but in warmer weather. It makes one wonder where all the old people are kept. |

| Canada is a good time but the exchange rate sucks right now. Also depending on where you cross the border expect to meet a few A#$holes. Last time i went up i was stopped at the border for almost 3 hours because they found a chem light in my car. I nearly shit myself when they told me someone had been doing LSD and escstasy in my car. Turned out they made it all up after finding the chem light and only "ravers" carry chem lights. Heaven forbid you have one because they last 10 hours and might be usefull in an emergency. |
