I guess a valid question might be what language her parents spoke at home. I dated a gal from Argentina of British ancestry. She had the pithy English accent, lived in London, and was a huge West Ham fan. Culturally, she was very hispanic, and Spanish was probably her most comfortable language. We had a ball in Mexico, because everyone assumed she didn’t speak Spanish. ETA: Lebanese immigrants to Mexico? Gimme my tacos al pastor, por favor. |

Shakira is half Lebanese, one quarter Spanish, and one quarter Italian. She was born to a Colombian mother of Catalan and Italian descent, Nidia del Carmen Ripoll Torrado, and a Lebanese father, William Mebarak Chadid, in Barranquilla, Colombia, where she says she grew up among the Lebanese and Italian communities. The only reason, the NFL had both Shakers Shakira and J Lopez as their half time show was to gain Hispanic followers.
Look at the numbers of all three of their followers on social media. NFL is lacking so they paid for influencers. |
