Quoted: Nice Springfield. About how much money did it cost, and did you do all the work yourself, or did you have a smith do some? It was $500 for the mill-spec 1911, then about $75 for the trigger, sear and hammer(all CMC), and the grip saftey (King's) I put the parts in myself. I had no prior knowledge I just learned as I went. That is why putting the parts in required 7 or 8 times of putting it togeather and taking it apart. [:D] But I now know very well how a 1911 trigger works. Which is one of the reasons I wanted to do the project. |

Quoted: Hmm I see two flaws, the AR has a standard capacity mag [nono], and you have the worlds most POS mag on the market USA. for that I deduct 5 points. lol. I have a 20, a 30 and I just bought the 40 round USA mag that is in the picture. The 40 rounder has been referbed with a green follower and new spring. I have never had any problem with a USA mag. Ever. BUT, I am planning on ordering some USGI mags from ammoman.com next week [:)] Just because you all talk about them so much. The mag in the AR ia a Colt mag that came with the rifle. Never had a problem with it either. Maybe it is just that RRA is just so damn good that they still function flawlessly with crap mags[;)] |

Quoted: the AR has a standard capacity mag. Incorrect. The standard capacity for an AR-15/M16/M4 rifle is 30 rounds. The liberal/democrat/socialist thugs have redefined reality in line with their collectivist urges and called this "high capacity," but that does not make it so. The AR pictured has a neutered, reduced capacity magazine. Don't believe the hype. |

It's not a "standard" capacity mag... it's a neutered mag. A standard capacity mag would be a 20 or a 30, both are standard. I don't approve of the the USA mag either but if it works, why not if it's just a range rifle. I could see where the 9 round mag would come in handy. Am I the only one that finds that handguard ugly? It doesn't even look like the mil-spec handguard IMO. Nice 1911 though. |

Quoted: I see no measuring device, unless you plan to use your scrapple as a measure. Also, no grits? What's up with scrambled eggs? Doesn't anyone like their's sunny side up or over easy anymore? MMmmmmm... runny yolks. Gotta love 'em! I recently re-discovered fresh biscuits under over easy eggs. I make a point of eating eggs and sausage every morning. Gotta get my act together and get a pic. |

That is the first thing I noticed. (empty magazines) Nice rifle and handguns though. You can't subtract points just because you don't like the tape measure. Scrapple sounds great, but I would just call it sausage, because that's what they make it out of anyway. Overall good breakfast pic. |
