While I would personally hope HeMan looks like an 80s action hero, I don't mind a little license to have him be a twink before transforming. It would require some serious suspension of disbelief to not believe that everyone would ID Adam as HeMan right away outside of the confines of a 1980s cartoon.

Don't get me wrong, it will suck, and badly. But I can't get too upset if wimpy prince adam doesn't look like a dime store women's romance novel model when he's in pussymode.

Let's be honest, what are we really expecting out of a He Man movie?

Be honest. Prince Adam is metro as fuck, if not straight up gay. Pink hair and purple shirts all the time?

And the mere fact that as the most powerful person in the universe he wasn't smashing Teela 24/7 makes him even more suspect.

That dude has damn near a year to start banging Test into his system and going Ape in the gym. Maybe he will pull it off. Even then, the cartoon is just terribly written so the movie writers have a very low bar to step over.

I bet if you pulled the streaming numbers for the cartoon you'd be impressed. Lots of gen x dads out there trying to get their sons into what we watched instead of the endless variants of Princess Super Cupcake Pet Hospital Glitter Suprise.

You'd find Ninja Turtles, GI Joe, ThunderCats , etc as well.

About the only show that isn't overtly girl power is Paw Patrol, which actually has a male lead and the Mayor is an inept moron.
