Just purchased a new Springfield XD9 9mm. Only problem is, when I got home and removed it from the wrapper.... it magically turned into a .40. WTF should I do now? Do I have to go through the background check again if they exchange it? What a pain in the ass. UPDATE Short and sweet, the box contained the owners manual and mag coupon for an XD9. We all fell for that when we opened the box. The gun was sealed in a dark blue ziplock and I didn't feel the need to open it up in the store ( yes, dave223 is a dumbass). After talking to the manager, I decided to keep the XD40. The funny thing is that I was trying to decide between the two all morning. After all is said and done, I am very happy with my new gun. Cant wait to hit the range. |

Quoted: If you didn't take the gun out of the blue ziplock bag, how did the dealer verify that the serial number on the gun matched the one on the box? This is exactly why I always open the gun box and verify the serno and cal. It's my name on that form and I'm not going to jail over a stupid mistake... |
