Dont worry this isn't another how do I convert my ar-16 to full auto question but it does have to do with some nonsense on the ATF's part. If I have a unregistered DIAS and no ar15 then I am ok right? If i have a unreg'd dias and an AR-15 then the alphabet guys can come arrest me and charge me with try to make a illegal machine gun (correct?)

Now here is my actual question. Where does owning a class 2 drilling jig come into play at? Can I own one and have an AR and not get charged. Thats what I make of it. It seems kinda stupid for them to do it that way. Anyone out their know if owning a C2 drilling jig and an AR is legal?

My understanding is that a DIAS/LL is the same as a MG regardless of whatever else you own. If it's not registered then you're risking prosecution regardless of whatever else you may think or others may say.

A jig is no problem. If you also possess the weapon and parts then you're in constructive possession of a MG.

The jig is nothing more than a tool...

If you mill the receiver and drill the hole, THEN you are in deep doo doo...[:D]

Can you say "Felony" ???
